The predominant economic activity is agricultural. Some of the amenities found in the community are the recreation arena (providing a rink and curling), several parks, a beach, and all emergency services (police, fire and ambulance).

• Mill rate is 39 (18.5 municipal, 20.5 education).



• Water is $37 per quarter for 6,000 gallons, with a $1.50 per 1,000 gallon levy for any overage. Sewer rate is $18 per quarter.



• The town offers a two-year municipal tax free period for new business locating to the community. The same is offered to local businesses building new facilities.
