Sturgis

The goods and services provided by the Town of Sturgis business community serve the surrounding area. The friendly people, recreation and shopping opportunities make Sturgis a pleasant place to live.

Sturgis is located on Highway 9, near Crystal Lake Resort. The current population is 744. The predominant economic activity is agriculture and logging.

The municipality has its own fire department, a local R.C.M.P detachment, indoor skating and curling, a ski hill nearby and a attractive campground right alongside the Assiniboine River.

Sturgis is also home of the provincially-reknowned July 1 rodeo. The friendly people, opportunity for recreation activities, and shopping make Sturgis a pleasant place to live.
