Having a good business idea is one thing. Putting all the pieces together and making it happen successfully is another. While we at the Good Spirit REDA can't guarantee your success--only your own dedication, perseverance and hard work can do that--we are here to help however we can.
Maybe you need somebody to bounce ideas off. The REDA staff, as well as the economic development officers working in many communities in the region, will be happy to listen and offer advice. Perhaps you need help putting together a business plan. We have guides to assist you. Or maybe you are about to embark on the seemingly-daunting task of arranging financing. It's nothing to fear, but it does require careful and thorough preparation. We can show you how. The REDA also offers loans to small businesses through the SBLA loans program, makes office space available, and provides temporary computers and Internet connections. In short, if you need help starting your business, expanding your business, or dealing with the problems of running a business, drop in, give us a call, or email us. We can't solve all your problems, but we will sure provide whatever help we can, and help you find the answers you need. The Good Spirit REDA keeps businesses and prospective business operators up-to-date through its own publications and this web site. This year, we published the first edition of a business news magazine, and this web site represents a concerted effort to keep members and business operators in the region fully informed about programs and services that may be of assistance to them. Office space rentals Furnished offices including desk, chair, filing cabinet and more are available to rent on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. We also provides clients with access to a copier, fax machine, e-mail, telephone answering and several other general secretarial services. Going for a loan? Here are some tips Practice your presentation and have someone play the devil's advocate so you'll be better prepared to field questions. Financial institutions generally put their best people where the action is. If you feel you require more personal attention, visit a smaller branch. Introduce your potential loaner to your business. Offer to pick him or her up and drop them off; springing for lunch may not be a bad idea either. Loans officers are conservative by nature, never mislead them with your plans or ideas.Trust is essential for good future relations. Let them know of the bad times as well as the good times. They expect fluctuations. Don't make your loan proposal sound urgent. It's an indication of weak management. If you don't like what you hear, shop around. --Saskatchewan Economic and Co-operative Development, Regional Economic Development Services | |
